From automated "Tunnel Washers" to 35 lb. washer-extractors, GCLS provides a complete range of options to process hotel laundry items including guest valet and employee uniforms.

The three major processing categories are:

Wet Washing - Using "state of the art" automated washing systems as well as a full range of conventional washers, we process most items using this approach. Items are segregated by type and laundered using specialized formulas and chemistry controlled by computers.

Wet-Cleaning - We are one of the only laundries on the Gulf Coast to offer this type of processing as a replacement for Dry-Cleaning. Using specially formulated chemicals and "chilled" water, we are able to launder most dry-cleanable items with excellent results. This process leaves no chemical residue and provides excellent stain removal.

Dry-Cleaning - For garments that cannot be processed using "Wet-Cleaning", we continue to offer conventional dry-cleaning services. We offer pre-spotting to remove stains. Our machines are "state of the art" using computerized controls. Our operators receive special training to assure high quality service in this area.

 

Finishing ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flat Goods - All sheets, pillowslips, tablelinen, and napkins are finished and folded on large high speed flatwork ironers. These machines are specially designed for high quality AND high production.

Terry Items - All toweling items are dryed in computer controlled dryers. Using automatic folding machines, we provide uniform, high quality folding of all items.

Garments - We offer a full range of pressing services as well as a steam finishing tunnel for garment items. Our garment department staff is specially trained to give extra care and attention to all garments.

Special Services ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quality Assurance - Laundry production is monitored continuously throughout the day. All work stations have designated receptacles for rejected items. All rejected items are separated(stain or ragout) and sent to the appropriate area. We have a unique quality sampling program to evaluate our quality levels throughout the production process each day.

Stain Removal - All items rejected for stains is re-processed AT NO ADDITIONAL COST using special stain removal formulas. Reclaimed items are included in the regular delivery. Unrecoverable stain and ragout items are returned to our customers specially marked.
